Georgia: Register to vote by Dec. 7

Your daily(ish) reminder to make sure you are registered to vote by December 7 if you plan to vote in the January 5 U.S. Senate runoffs.

If you’ve been living under a rock since the general election, you may not be aware that the balance of power in the U.S. Senate is at stake.

If you are already registered to vote, check to make sure the Georgia Secretary of State lists you as an active voter. If you are not registered, you can register online if you have a current, valid Georgia driver’s licencse or other state-issued ID.

If you are 17 years old but will turn 18 between now and Jan. 5, you are elegible and can register now.

Any more questions? Here’s a little thing I wrote for Decaturish about the runoff elections.
